The outline of the course is as follows:
Day 1 Introduction; Ocean dynamical theory and modelling
Day 2 Ocean observations; Air-sea fluxes; Practical 1
Day 3 Climate change I; Forecasting systems & high-resolution coupled modelling; Practical 2
Day 4 Climate variability; Climate extremes; Practical 3
Day 5 Climate change II; Synthesis
The course will comprise of lectures and daily practical activities.
Social activities, including a course dinner, will take place throughout the week and course participants will have the opportunity to go on a guided tour of the Met Office.
